Overview
Currently, all hearings are being conducted by video/telephone via Google Meet. All parties should connect no less than five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled hearing. Please join by video or by phone and please set your device to mute until the court requests entry of your appearance in your case.
For video access, click the following link or utilize https://meet.google.com/htm-gstf-qxa. If video access is not available on your device then you may join by phone.
To join by phone, dial 1-605-937-6997, and enter PIN: 613 024 822#.
The Hearing Officer operates with a trailing docket, so it is possible that your hearing could commence at a time later than the listed time.
Please review the Discovery Order or Notice in your case for the information you must provide to each party and to the Court, along with the deadline. Generally, documents you want the Hearing Officer to consider must be provided to the Court and to the other parties twenty (20) days before the hearing. For the Court, you can mail (see P.O. Box above), email (sfedcshoproposedtxt@nmcourts.xyz), or drop off paper copies at the Child Support Office on the first floor of the First Judicial District Court.
Child support hearings are subject to the New Mexico Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence. Both self-represented parties and attorneys are expected to follow these Rules, which are available at your public library and also online at: https://nmonesource.com/nmos/nmra/en/nav_date.do.
To avoid delay or the rescheduling of your hearing, you must notify the Administrative Assistant at 505-455-8140 no less than 5 days of your scheduled hearing that an interpreter is needed.
In the event of a weather delay, the courthouse will open at 10:00 am. If your hearing is scheduled with the Hearing Officer before 10:00 a.m., your hearing will be rescheduled, and notice of the reset date and time will be sent to you. If your hearing is scheduled with the Hearing Officer after 10:00 a.m., your hearing will be held in the order that it was scheduled. You must log onto Google Meet, at least five (5) minutes prior to your scheduled hearing. If the courthouse is closed, all hearings scheduled that day will be reset. You will be sent a notice of your new hearing date and time. All delays or closures are reported to the major news stations, KOAT, KOB, and KRQE and will be updated on our website.
